Shri Damodar Raghoji Memorial English Medium School has been established in the fond memory Shri Damodar Raghoji. He was born in a humble family who lived on the peasantry in a village called ‘Rajeshwar’ in Humnabad Taluka. Though belonging to a peasant family, he had a sound background & was too devoted towards his village & its people. Shri. Damodar Raghoji had constructed a temple too in his village. In the year 1965, he moved to Gulbarga to explore his luck in urban prosperity. Once in Gulbarga, he then established a small business in clothing. As years passed by he took up to money lending business & this is how the reputed firm in finance i.e. Raghoji finance gained firm grounds in Gulbarga, which till date is being carried forward by two industrious persons of his family i.e. his youngest son Shri Ramachandra.D.Raghoji & his wife Smt.Meera.R.Raghoji. Seeing his family well settled, he was satisfied with his life & had a peaceful end i.e. he breathed his last on 10th Sept 2000, at the age of 67 years. During his lifetime he had the full support of his wife Smt.Kamalabai.D.Raghoji. and all his children who are obviously well settled in their own lives.

My father was the kindest human being; he had come from a humble and middle-class family. Even though he did not live a comfortable life he always helped people around him.
I always wanted to start something in my father’s name as I wanted his name to be in people’s mind forever. It was also my wife Meera Raghoji’s aspiration to start a school that would help the children of our locality. So, we started a school in the year 2017 with the intention to provide the best quality education and saving people’s money and time that is spent on travelling far distances in search of quality education.
I have been running a non-banking financial company and various other businesses from past 30 years and they were started with an aim of making profits but school was purely built to feel the joy of providing education to children and to see them succeed in their life.

SDRME School is an outcome of a self-established and meritorious lady i.e. the Secretary Mrs. Meera.R. Raghoji. She is a well-qualified woman, who is renowned for being a successful entrepreneur. Being highly qualified she knows the importance of education and hence took the step of setting up a school. During this journey, we have the strong support of her whole family. The president of the school Mr.Ramachandra.D.Raghoji also is a highly qualified businessman and takes personal care of all the matters related to the school.
